The Carrollton Rangers faced a tough opponent in Barbados pitcher Jose Gonzalez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Rangers Field by a final score of 8-2. Gonzalez went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Gustavo Morales came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 2-2. Barbados is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Adam Gibson, the Carrollton right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 4-1, Rangers. For the game, Gibson went 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Dan Barkdull. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
