The Chicago Eclipse got a superb performance from pitcher Oscar Zegarra, but the Havana Stogies still won the game, 8-5. Zegarra came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters. The loss lowers the Chicago record to 4-6.

Havana used a clutch at-bat from Quincy Littlejohn to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Stogies ahead, 8-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Littlejohn told the Havana Daily News. "And padding the Havana win column."
