Dower Blasts Stars, Capitals Take Game 3, 10-9
With special thanks to catcher Herb Dower, the Victoria Capitals took a 9-inning, walk-off win over the Niagara Stars by the score of 10-9 and got their first win in the 2062 Canadian Baseball League Championship. Dower slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Capitals. The win narrows Victoria's deficit to 2-1.

The decisive blow was delivered by Rudolph Girton in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Gary Jarrett to win the game for Victoria. The home crowd went nuts.

"Every team in baseball loses," Stars manager Danny Stuessy said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Chilliwack College in Victoria.
