Riding the 2-hit performance of designated hitter Matt Chabot, the Oklahoma Sooners got a road win against the South Mississippi Golden Eagles, 6-2, in Game 3 of the NCAA College World Series. Chabot was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Sooners, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Oklahoma used the hitting of Andy Dunn to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Sooners on top, 2-0. For the game, Dunn had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
