Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Golden Eagles, 8-7
South Mississippi Golden Eagles third baseman Billy Rambo was the difference-maker at Ballpark of Storm Lake College, as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game 5 of the NCAA College World Series. The Golden Eagles took the 8-7 win over the Oklahoma Sooners to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The game turned with two out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Rambo hit a 3-run home run off Brandon Hull. It propelled the Golden Eagles into the lead, 8-7.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Rambo said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."

Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Biglerville College Fields.
