Caribou Win at Carrollton, 8-5

The skies opened up and the rain fell at Rangers Field.
Due in large part to right fielder David Falconi, the Frobisher Bay Caribou sunk the Carrollton Rangers, 8-5. Falconi went 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Matt Cramer earned his 12th save, after closing out the game.
With Frobisher Bay leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Falconi hit a slider from Frank Peguero for a 3-run home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Caribou ahead, 6-1.
"Whenever I help the team," said Falconi, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
The first-place Caribou hiked their record to 99-33.
