Revenge Win Nail-Biter in 10
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Barbados Revenge and the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, Ray Fox, who is tied for 3rd in the RR in quality starts with 6, proved to be the difference. The Barbados right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Revenge win. Barbados reliever Matt Ture picked up the win to move to 4-6. Mike Howard suffered the loss. After today's action, Barbados sits at 49-84, while Boca Raton falls to 49-86.
The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Barbados. That's when Frank Polanco hit a solo home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Mike Howard to win the game. The home crowd went wild.
"Exciting game to play in," said Polanco. "Getting the win makes it even better."
