Savannah Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in RLC
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Mike Tobola, the Savannah Peaches stopped the visiting Sylva Miners, 6-2, in Game 3 of the Rookie League Championship. Tobola was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks for the Peaches, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
David Kulhanek helped out the Savannah cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 4 with a hit by pitch. He drove in 2 runs.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Tobola.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Martin Field in Savannah.
