Tribbles Clip Peaches, 7-6, in LCS Contest

The Rosewell Tribbles got a strong game from starter Joe Gentile, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.
The Tribbles took the 7-6 win over the Savannah Peaches in Game 2 of the League Championship Series in a 9th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the left-handed Gentile. Gentile threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball in the win, which brought the Tribbles into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Rosewell left fielder Neil Highers, facing Jay Ocker, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Tribbles the 7-6 win.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Gentile. "Successful pitchers do it."
The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 22nd , 2062 at Martin Field in Savannah.
