Avalos Blasts Honu, Butterflies Take Game 2, 7-5
Riding the 2-hit performance of shortstop Manny Avalos, the Pennsylvania Butterflies stopped the visiting Hawaii Honu, 7-5, in Game 2 of the Wild Card Round. Avalos was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Butterflies, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Paul Brew III, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, helped out the Pennsylvania cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the catcher was 2-3 with 2 singles.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Brew III said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Aloha Stadium.
