Lighting Mow Down Fighting Iguanas, 9-4
The Thunder Bay Lighting topped the Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, 9-4, at Scripps Field. Thunder Bay third baseman Jose Quinones was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Jose Lugo in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Rajko Sujic took the loss. The first-place Lighting have won 4 straight games.

Thunder Bay used the hitting of Cameron Hill to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Lighting on top, 8-4. For the game, Hill had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"The vibe's good," said Thunder Bay manager Masamune Fujimoto. "We've got to keep it going."
