Swallowtails Win with Late Rally
Madison second baseman Daniel Reyes was sensational. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. State College beat the Muskies, 5-4, in 10 innings. State College reliever Randy McCafferty snagged the win, upping his record to 6-1. Doug Decker shouldered the loss. Clyde Dempsey was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.

Clark Jahncke came through with a big-time hit for State College. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"This is a resilient bunch," said State College manager Afalku Coffie.

The 5th-place Swallowtails have a record of 68-72.
