8-2 Win for Calgary in Extras
|
Calgary Hitmen starter Alex Duran had all his pitches working at Cobb Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Calgary win over the Billings Mustangs. Calgary reliever Eric Lewis picked up the win to move to 4-5. Ken Pratt suffered the loss. Calgary is 80-60 and Billings, with the loss, 49-91.
Eddie Wooldridge provided a timely hit. The Calgary first baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the tenth inning to put the Hitmen on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"If you're not prepared, it's not pressure you feel, it's fear," mused Calgary manager Brandon Ashley.
