Hackers Prevail, 6-4, Over Boston
The Silicon Valley Hackers knocked off the Boston Whitecaps, 6-4, at The Studio. Byron Benjamin was a big reason Silicon Valley won. The left fielder was 1-2 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Silicon Valley reliever Rowland Lester picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Victor Cortez absorbed the loss. Branden Severns earned the save for Silicon Valley, his 5th of the year.

Silicon Valley used a timely hit from Keith Peterson to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hackers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Silicon Valley manager Brad Jones was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

The Hackers now own a record of 84-55.
