The Fairfield Flash outscored the Reno Raiders, 13-12. Tommy Ivester led the way, going 2-for-3 for Fairfield. Fairfield reliever Bill Deuel picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Pat Neumann was saddled with the loss. The Flash now have a record of 78-63.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jonah Burke in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Pat Neumann to win the game for Fairfield. The home crowd went nuts.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Burke said.
