Divisional Series Game 1 Victory for Gentile and Rock River
|
The Divisional Series got off to a quiet start, with the host Rock River Rats taking a low-scoring, 1-0 win over the Clearwater Seagulls. Rock River left-hander Joe Gentile was marvelous at The Rat Hole. The Rats now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Gentile, the Rock River left-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits. He collected 6 strikeouts.
"Joe is a tough competitor," said Rock River manager Shunso Sato.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Rat Hole in California City.
