Almost There: Syracuse On Cusp of League Championship Series Triumph After 24-21 Win
When the games really matter, the Syracuse Orange Sox put on their best show, beating the Rosewell Tribbles by a final score of 24-21. Josh Borga was 4-5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 5 and driving in 5. Syracuse now leads Rosewell 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jose Tamez in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 3-run home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Planas to win the game for Syracuse. The home crowd went nuts.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Alonso Duarte.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Syracuse Fields in Syracuse.
