Almost There: Rock River On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 12-3 Win
Riding the 4-hit performance of third baseman Pierce Gagne, the Rock River Rats flattened the Clearwater Seagulls, 12-3, in Game 4 of the Divisional Series. Gagne went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Rats, who now lead 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Thompson, Canada native Pierce Gagne had a clutch at-bat in the top of the sixth for the Rats. With Rock River trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run home run.

"It's on me," said Seagulls manager Ayub Ndadaye. "The guys I sent out there today were the wrong ones for the situation. I'll be sure to send the right ones out next time."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Chapman Field in Seneca Falls.
