Madison beat Kelowna at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to third baseman Steve Walker. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Picking up the win was Josh Steventon. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 6 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 3. The 6th-place Beehive hiked their record to 58-82.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Josh Worrell? The Madison second baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Beehive on top, 3-0. For the game, Worrell had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Walker told the Madison Daily News.
