Quintero Leads Orange Sox to 9-7 Win Over Lighting
A good performance from second baseman Abraham Quintero helped the Syracuse Orange Sox defeat the Thunder Bay Lighting, 9-7. Quintero went 4-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Orange Sox. Rich Lasher earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-2. Syracuse is now 88-52. Had Jose Tamez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Tamez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 9-7, in favor of the Orange Sox.
