Larvae Take Tight Tilt
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the The Stinging Larvae and Wichita Storm.
Though he had a stellar game, Chris Leitch could not prevent his team, the Wichita Storm, from losing, 4-3, to the The Stinging Larvae. Leitch hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Picking up the save was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jon Ortiz.
Aaron Williams, who is tied for 10th in the TR in bases on balls with 110, helped out the The Stinging cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
Williams called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
Wichita's current losing streak is now 6 games.
