The Rockville Rangers weathered an outstanding game by Syracuse left fielder Steve Garrison to topple the Orange Sox, 6-4. Garrison went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Rockville reliever Darwin Rodriguez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Alex Dominguez took the loss. Miguel Garcia earned the save for Rockville, his 1st of the year.

In the bottom of the third, Rockville third baseman Jose Aragon had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Aragon stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Rockville. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

In postgame comments to the Rockville Gazette, Aragon said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The first-place Rangers have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
