Raucous Mount Royal Grounds Crowd Propels Mounties to 9-4 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Montreal Mounties and the San Francisco Earthquakes will take the Divisional Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Mounties beat the Earthquakes, 9-4, at Mount Royal Grounds to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Montreal right fielder Alan Willer was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs.

In the bottom of the first, Chris Romanko delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 1st, the Montreal designated hitter hit a 2-run home run, putting the Mounties in front, 9-4.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Willer said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Mount Royal Grounds in Montreal.
