The Walnut Creek Warriors started the Divisional Series in style, downing the visiting Pennsylvania Butterflies at Castlerock Field by a score of 9-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Warriors left fielder Matt Saxton was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.

Saxton broke a deadlock in the bottom of the eighth inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Walnut Creek up, 5-4.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Saxton.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Castlerock Field in Walnut Creek.
