Timbers Pull Out Late-Game Win, 6-5
Oconto Falls pinch hitter Steve Sutherland picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Montreal Cardinals, 6-5. Earning his 16th save for Oconto Falls was Pat Reed. The Timbers improved their record to 85-61 with the win over Montreal.

Had Sutherland not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Sutherland hit a grand slam home run. The Timbers took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.

In postgame comments to the Oconto Falls Daily News, Sutherland said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
