Manny Otero, who is tied for 8th in the TR in wins with 10, propelled his team to victory over the The Stinging Larvae. The final score was 5-3, Savannah. William Smathers earned the save, his 9th. Savannah now has a record of 83-64 with the win.
It could have been a different outcome for Savannah, had it not been for Kenichi Sakamoto, the 21-year old right fielder . Sakamoto contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Savannah up, 2-0.
"Manny is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Savannah manager Chung Chio.
