Sasquatch Win at Home, 8-5

Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Seattle Sasquatch were eager to watch Ethan Jenkins square off against Mark Tanner of the visiting Vancouver Pioneers. In the end, the Sasquatch won the game, 8-5, with Mike Duffy leading the way. Ethan Jenkins, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 5 runs on 9 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 1-0. Sam Godfrey got credit for the save for Seattle. It was his 1st of the year.
In the bottom of the sixth, the Sasquatch grabbed the lead when Duffy hit his 1st double of the season. The 2-run double off Clay Clermont made it 6-5, Seattle.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Duffy told the Seattle Daily.
