Caribbean pitcher Pablo Flores did his part in helping his team beat the Carrollton Rangers, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Caribbean is now 62-89, Carrollton 81-70.

The Commies got a big at-bat from left fielder John Leydig. For the game, Leydig went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Caribbean a 2-0 lead.
