Larvae Snag 6-3 Win
|
The The Stinging Larvae withstood a fine game by Paradise Island left fielder Edgar Herrera at The Queen, to upend the Pirates, 6-3. Herrera went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Andres Carrasco earned the save for The Stinging, his 13th of the year. The Stinging now has a record of 85-67 with the win.
The Stinging took a 5-3 lead on Chris Gabaldon's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Gabaldon hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Paradise Island pitcher Ed Aitken visibly frustrated.
The Stinging manager Jose Correa called it "a pretty good win."
