Cardinals Lose, 12-7, to Paradise Island
The Paradise Island Pirates trumped the Montreal Cardinals, 12-7, at Denis Coderre Stadium. Paradise Island third baseman Tadaaki Ishii was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win belonged to Robby Barbosa in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Pablo Cisneros took the loss for Montreal. Tim Fleming picked up the save, his 2nd.

In the top of the seventh, Paradise Island center fielder Orlando Aguilar had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Montreal hurler Pablo Cisneros, Aguilar drew a walk, driving in 1 run. That made the score 8-6, Paradise Island. For the day, Aguilar went 1-5 with a walk.

"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Ishii.

The first-place Pirates sport a record of 104-48.
