Fans watched the Caribbean Commies and the Brooklyn Cyclones fight to the finish.

Caribbean Commies starter Edwin Preciado turned in an exceptional performance against the Brooklyn Cyclones at Castro Field, resulting in a Caribbean win, 3-2. Preciado, the winner, moves to 11-8. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Carlos Molina earned the save for Caribbean, his 2nd.

In the bottom of the second inning, the Commies grabbed the lead when Zhi-peng Bao rapped a two-out single. Caribbean was trailing 1-0, when Bao hit a 2-run single off Mike Black to put his team in front, 2-1.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Preciado.

Caribbean is now 63-91, Brooklyn 101-54.
