Cyclones Grind Out 2-0 Win

The Brooklyn Cyclones and Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas put on a pitchers' duel.
Boca Raton wasted a solid 6-inning effort from starting pitcher Ramon Serrata, losing to Brooklyn, 2-0, at The Lava Flow. Alex Alvarez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 9-4. Ramon Serrata suffered the loss.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from shortstop Vicente Zarate. For the game, Zarate was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 2-0 lead.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Zarate.
The Cyclones now own a record of 105-54.
