Two elite teams met in a late-season showdown.

Victoria Totems starter Shoitsu Nakashima kept the Oconto Falls Timbers hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Nakashima picked up the win for Victoria, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 9-4. Travis Aldredge was credited with the save for Victoria, his 9th of the season.

Jonathan Shipp had a big 2-run double for the Totems in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Victoria leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Carlos Rotiz, who leads the TR with a 14.2 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to right. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Totems ahead, 4-0.

"Shoitsu's stuff looked really, really crisp," said Senta Nakano, the Totems manager.

With the win, Victoria has a record of 104-55. Oconto Falls falls to 102-57.
