The Yuma Varmits scooped up a win at Denis Coderre Stadium, dumping the Montreal Cardinals, 6-2. Luis Sanabria, who leads the TR in complete games with 8, was essential to his team's success. Sanabria, who leads the TR in complete games with 8, went the distance for Yuma. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. The Varmits go to 80-81, putting them 4th in the TML R Otto Velez Division.

It could have been a different outcome for Yuma, had it not been for Willie Villegas, the 19-year old first baseman . Villegas contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Yuma up, 3-1.
