Bloomington first baseman Josh Neuner pounded Jacksonville Pilots pitchers at Arnold Field, but it was not enough to keep the Blazers from falling, 9-7, in Game 1 of the LCS Round. Neuner was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2, though he couldn't keep the Blazers from slipping to a 1-0 deficit in the best-of-7 series.

Luis Velez, who finished 5th in the TML in batting average with .335 in 2065, came through for Jacksonville with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. The first baseman went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 RBI.

"I'm just out there trying to have as much fun as I can while I'm playing," Velez told the Jacksonville Daily News.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Arnold Field in Jacksonville.
