Bloomington Wins Game 5 in Extras; On Verge of R3
The Bloomington Blazers went into extra innings against the Walnut Creek Warriors but ultimately moved to within one game of the LCS Round. The Blazers downed the Warriors in a 11-inning walk-off at Arson Arena by a final score of 6-5. Bloomington left-hander Jay Vincent had a commendable performance. He came in in relief and pitched to 27 batters. The win gives the Blazers a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Round.

Batting in the bottom of the 11th, former first round draft pick Taylor Nunley had a real shot to win the game. Walnut Creek pitcher Ray Clemens was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Nunley hit a run-scoring single. The Blazers had a walk-off triumph.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Vincent said, postgame.

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday at Castlerock Field in Walnut Creek.
