The Quebec Armada and El Paso Mavericks obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.

Though he had a stellar game, Nate Perlson could not prevent his team, the El Paso Mavericks, from losing, 7-6, to the Quebec Armada. Perlson was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Quebec reliever Mike Cornwell picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Eric Reichel was tagged with the loss.

Mike Rudolph chipped in for Quebec, stroking a crucial run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.

Rudolph told the Quebec Daily: "I was born for the big stage."

The first-place Armada now have a win-loss record of 63-43.
