Bighorn Makes Maple 5-3 Losers
The Bighorn Bison defeated the Maple Marauders, 5-3, in Thurman Munson League action at Magnificent Marauders Mansion. Bighorn pitcher Gordie White had a standout performance. Mike Lake got credit for the save for Bighorn. It was his 23rd of the year. Their 59-50 record puts the Bison second in the Thurman Munson League West Division.

Bighorn used the clutch hitting of Bob Ferreira to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bison ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Bighorn manager Carlos Esparza.
