Bison Rally Late to Clip Walnut Creek
The Buffalo Bison grabbed a win, 7-6, over the Walnut Creek Warriors at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Buffalo designated hitter Nick Schroeder was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Brendon Wager came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. Jeff Holmes was the walk-off hero for Buffalo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Bison second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
