The Montreal Mounties and Cabo San Lucas Toreros played an exciting game.

The Montreal Mounties defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 4-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Mount Royal Grounds. Gene Johnson pulled his weight. The 7-year veteran went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winning pitcher was Warren Foradori. His record now stands at 8-5. The right-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits for the Mounties.

Montreal took a 3-0 lead on Johnson's 26th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Charlie Doane in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Montreal to the win.
