In a low-scoring affair between the Manhattan Slice and the Hawaii Honu, pitcher Will Cabrera was the difference between victory and defeat. The Manhattan right-hander earned kudos in the 1-0 Slice win. Cabrera got the win, improving to 5-10. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed no runs. Paul Blevins earned the save, his 3rd in 7 tries.

The Slice got a big at-bat from first baseman Bill Dunlap. For the game, Dunlap was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Manhattan a 1-0 lead.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Manhattan manager Giampaolo Marcovicci.
