Bison 5-3 Victors Over San Francisco
|
Ram Brewery Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the San Francisco Earthquakes and Bighorn Bison.
The Bighorn Bison picked up a win at Ram Brewery Ballpark, topping the San Francisco Earthquakes, 5-3. On the mound for Bighorn was left-hander Jeremy Turner. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Turner, now 1-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5.
Jay Starr helped out the Bighorn cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the left fielder drove in one run.
"Jeremy is a gamer," said Bighorn manager Carlos Esparza.
With the win, Bighorn raised its record to 60-51.
