Charleston and Elizabeth Town took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Charleston Panthers defeated the Elizabeth Town Thunder by the score of 16-5. Ben Gail starred for Charleston, going 2-for-5 with 1 home run. Jamie Cusack came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed 3 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-1.

Jacob Eschbach had a big bases-clearing double for the Panthers in the bottom of the first inning. With Charleston leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Eric Fresh and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Panthers ahead, 6-2.

The Panthers now have a mark of 72-69.
