Gnats Rally For Late Win Over Princes
The Nichols Gnats got a stellar effort from pitcher David Torres, helping Nichols score a win over the visiting Bel Air Princes, 4-2. Travis Noecker, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-4. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Junzo Yamabe earned the save for Nichols, his 34th of the year.

Matt Engelhart was 1 for 3 with 2 walks for Nichols. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Rich Blaquiere. It was his 35th walk of the season.

"David did what David does," said Nichols manager Mike Nevil.

The loss makes Bel Air 76-65.
