Princes Topple Bandits with Late Rally
The Brownsville Bandits got a superb performance from pitcher Steve Surprenant, but the Bel Air Princes still won the game, 10-7. Surprenant threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The win went to Diego Martinez in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Jonathan Haggard took the loss. The win makes Bel Air 61-84.

Bel Air won the game in part because of Makoto Yamashita. The center fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Princes ahead, 8-6. For the game, Yamashita had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Yamashita. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
