The Nichols Gnats and San Antonio River Bandits obliged fans looking for a good time.

Jack Gosse added some punch to the Nichols offense, helping them outmuscle the San Antonio River Bandits, 8-7. In the game, Gosse, who is tied for 7th in the TA with a .491 on-base percentage, was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Dustin Phillips, credited with the save, is now 32 for 35 in save opportunities.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Gnats grabbed the lead when Gosse hit his 14th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Justin Walsh made it 8-6, Nichols.

"Whenever I help the team," said Gosse, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."
