Lawmen Net 3-1 Win Over Panthers
|
Both offenses were relatively subdued at Franklin Mountains Field. Fortunately for the Marshall Lawmen, though, Stanley Wilks was able to deliver in the clutch. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times, to lead his team past the Charleston Panthers, 3-1. Marshall, at 85-62, sits in third place in the RCL A Dusty Baker Division.
Jorge Delgado had a direct impact on the outcome. Delgado contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Marshall up, 1-0.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Delgado.
