Nicolas 3-for-3 to Ignite Tornadoes Offense
The Kansas City Tornadoes trumped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 10-7, at Debris Field. Kansas City second baseman Patrick Nicolas was terrific. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Kansas City reliever Fred Poole got the win, raising his record to 3-2. Josh Williams was tagged with the loss. Kansas City, at 51-63, sits in 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League Central Division.

Had Mike Moss not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Moss hit a bases-clearing double. That made the score 9-6, in favor of the Tornadoes.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Nicolas.
