Barrels Drubbed, 13-2
The San Antonio River Bandits got production from their entire lineup in an easy 13-2 win over the Niagara Falls Barrels. Doing his part was first baseman Alex Sanchez. Sanchez went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Peter Phillips picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-2. He struck out 9 in 5.2 innings. Tony Lopez earned his 1st save in 1 tries.

With San Antonio leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth, Sanchez hit a curveball from Nelson Cruz for a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the River Bandits ahead, 6-0.

"It's always good to get on a little roll, with big swings and really good pitching," said winning manager Lemn Onkwani.

The misery continues for the Barrels, who have now dropped 15 in a row.
