Knoll Stars for Lake Monsters in 11-4 Win
The Okanagan Lake Monsters downed the Ottawa Civics, 11-4. The hitting star was catcher Dale Knoll. Knoll hit 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice for the Lake Monsters. German Pineda, the winner, is now 10-5. He struck out 8 and walked 3 over 5.2 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 7 hits. Picking up the save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Salvador Reyes.

Okanagan second baseman Wilbert Howse contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 127th hit of the season and put the Lake Monsters ahead, 8-4.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Knoll.

The Lake Monsters sit in third place in the TML A Dick Williams Division with a record of 80-73.
