Honu Win Thriller, 8-6
The Hawaii Honu defeated the Buffalo Bison, 8-6, in 11 innings. Doing his part was left fielder Tommy George, who was 3 for 3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Karl Molnar in relief. His record improves to 7-4. Carlos Acevez took the loss for Buffalo. The third-place Honu improved to 56-57.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, George hit a cutter from Carlos Acevez for a 2-run home run. The Honu, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said George. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
